Tis the Season!

We attended a friends Ironman Party to view the airing of this year's show. I even baked! I made a hula girl cake AND a pineapple upside down cake...watch out Martha Stewart.

The Webbers decided this little "Charlie Brown Tree" needed some decoration!

Happy Holidays to everyone. Our weather has finally gotten in the holiday spirit. The temps vary for the teens to the 50's. We have had 1 snow day thus far. It is the mountains that have been getting dumped with feet of snow. Look at the photos for an example. We attended the Festival of Lights parade this year since the weather was so nice.

Chelsea is really excited about Christmas, already planning for his entry down the chimney-she informed us that we would have to remove the fireplace screen for Santa. She has agreed to be the liaison between Jake and Santa...letting Santa know what Jake wants for Christmas:)

Jake is NO LONGER sleeping through the night. We thought he was going through some teething and then he was congested and now he just likes to hang out with mommy every couple of hours and chat. He will be 6 months old at Christmas! My how time flies.

A week's vacation!

I get to spend a week with my mommy and big sister, YEAH!!!! Little do they know I have a tooth that is trying to get out, I'll save that fun the end of the week :)

My school district gives us a week off for Thanksgiving. What great weather we had for the week, in the 50's and low 60's.

Jim has started finishing the basement, he says it will take 6 months-then LOTS of room for visitors! Check out his handy work.

I took the kiddos to the park down the street. It was Jake's first time in a BIG swing. Chelsea is really great with him.

We spent Thanksgiving with the Dessart family, I think we have had Thanksgiving dinner with them for the past 7 years.

I think I can hang in there for 3 more weeks-Christmas Break-YEAH!!!

We got a lotta catchin' up to do!

So sorry I have not been keeping up with the latest and the greatest. Lets see, I have included photos from Halloween, Chelsea was Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, Jake was an elephant. We had a party and invited the neighbors with little ones. Chelsea was really excited about trick or treating this year, luckily the weather was great! (Usually it's very cold, windy and often times raining)
Next up, I have been competing in some trail races in the parks around town, I am slowly getting my form back :)

Jim did some SERIOUS camping and mountain climbing this past weekend. He and some buddies drove down to Alamosa and camped at 12,000ft, after a 3 hour hike. They set up camp and then continued on to the top of Mt. Blanca which is at 14,000ft. WHEW!!!!
On a sad note, our good buddy Greta passed away. Jim and I got Greta just a couple of months after getting married, she lived 13 years-all action-packed. We will all miss her :(

Enjoy the photos.

Party!!

YUM!!! Birthday cake. A classmate of Chelsea's turned 5 and we help her celebrate.

Jake was partied-out and chose to re-charge before the party games got started.

Weekend of Fun

We visited a local Fall Harvest event at Garden of the Gods, a couple of miles from the house. The scenery is beautiful! Chelsea and Jim picked out a pumpkin, experienced a tractor drawn hay ride, lassoed a steer and of course had her face painted.
The following day was filled with an exciting birthday party for a friend from pre-school.
Of course Jake came along for all the activities.
Chelsea's face oaint lasted for almost a week...she was the talk of the classroom. She said she just wanted it to 'fade' off. Yep, that's what it did, eventually.

Labor Day Weekend

This past Labor Day weekend we FLEW home (Indianapolis) to show off our newest addition, Jake, to the family. We were able to catch up with family and friends at this time.

Catching up with the Webbers!

Hello to all.

Thanks for checking in with us as we try to manage our family of 2 kids and 1 dog, 2 careers and all the exciting stuff that comes our way!

Jim works for Schlage Lock, a division of Ingersal-Rand, if you are in need of a triathlon/swimming coach, give him a try!
Cathi is a 7th grade social studies teacher and cross country coach.
Chelsea, our oldest is 4 yrs old and we have a 13 week old, Jake.

Our family is very active, we both compete in triathlons while Chelsea is trying her hand at soccer. Jake is our biggest cheerleader :)
